Personal Note: As with my original goal for Inugami Coffee, I continue to search for lesser-known producers to help bring them more recognition and give people the chance to try these amazing coffees. Since Wush Wush is my favorite varietal, I had to give this one a try. When I saw it scored 90 points, I knew it was going to be special.
Originally from the Wushwush / Kaffa region of Ethiopia (one of the birthplaces of Arabica Coffee) this rare landrace variety has found a beautiful new expression in the southern lands of Tolima. At Finca Monteverde, this coffee has achieved what we consider one of the finest expressions of Wush-Wush planted in Colombia. In the hands of Newerley Gutiérrez, it develops into something truly remarkable.
